Get Stronger Physically: The Ultimate Solutions

FAQ #9: The short answer to get stronger physically is to sign-up for the right program. The preventative health programs include four pillar, two pillar, and exercise-only programs. Continue on to get the details.

Note: This frequently asked question is very similar to FAQ #8 in its intent and meaning so some of the points that were applicable to that FAQ will be repeated here.

Note: Tone is not the correct word to use when it comes to describing muscles that are strong, in shape, and of the right bulk. The correct term is muscular definition for women and muscular size for men.

A. Answering the Question to Get Stronger Physically

If you are unhappy with your current level of strength, you might be interested to know that any change in your muscle mass does not happen overnight. It can take many months or perhaps 1 to 2 years to get the muscular strength you want. It's just the way our bodies work at the cellular level. You have to be patient when you are trying to build muscle strength.

Ok, I gotcha. Now, how do I get stronger physically?

Follow these three rules ...

  1. First, you need to be consistent with your resistance training sessions. Plan for 2 to 3 days a week.
  2. Second, you need to incorporate sound nutritional practices along with your strength routines. This means switching to the natural, whole foods way. A burger and fries with a soda pop are not going to cut it here. Proper nutrition and correct exercise go hand-in-hand. You need them both!
  3. Third, you also need to learn how to condition the core region while standing up, and how to build functional strength in your body movements through functional movement training, as well as how to add strength and flexibility to the myofascial network through loaded movement training.

What do you mean by that last point?

The idea here is to build strength from the neck on down to your ankles, not just in your arms and legs. So, instead of only resistance training that works muscles in isolation, you need to also incorporate total body movements that strengthen the shoulder, trunk, and hip regions through integrated whole body exercises that are both multi-planar and multi-directional.

In this way, you build strength throughout the body. This preserves your body so you can handle the everyday movements of life. This is especially important as you age. The following are some of the ways to build strength throughout the whole body:

  •     Functional movement training
  •     Functional movement training, with a load
  •     Core conditioning while standing up
  •     Loaded movement training for the myofascial network
  •     Body-weight-only exercises

So, how do I get stronger physically? Follow the next step to find out all about building and maintaining muscle while on your way to the ultimate solutions.

B. Finding out What Muscle is all About

Maintaining Existing and Building New Muscle Mass: Remember that as you shed pounds you can lose both fat and muscle mass at the same time unless you do something to stop the loss of your skeletal muscle. This is another hallmark of our programs since they work to maintain your current muscle mass in the early stages and then build additional muscle mass in the later stages. A true win-win situation.

C. Introducing the Ultimate Solutions

Now, sign-up for the right program with Orthocellular. The preventative health programs include four pillar, two pillar, and exercise-only programs.

Option #1: You can sign-up for a comprehensive Four Pillar Program

Finally exercise and nutrition are together as a team and weaved throughout each of the Four and Two Pillar Programs. This is as it should be. Consider registering for one of the following four-pillar programs:

a. If you are between the ages of 25 and 65 and currently overweight:

Permanent Weight Loss Program

b. If you are between the ages of 25 and 65 and currently not overweight,

Disease Prevention Program Stream 2

With the above programs you will not only get stronger physically, but you will change your body for good! In fact, you will like the new you so much, you will never want to go back to the old you. We guarantee it!

Option #2: Or, you can opt for a more-specific Exercise-only Program

1. Core Strengthen and Balance Program is geared for adults who are:

  • Newly foundational via one of our two beginner level programs, or
  • De-conditioned folk who are returning to activity after a long lay off, or
  • Active people who need to improve their core conditioning and body balance.

To find out if it is right for you, go to Core Strengthen and Balance Program

2. Or, you can take the Body Strengthen and Stretch Program, which is geared for adults who are:

  • Newly foundational via one of our two beginner programs, or
  • De-conditioned adults returning to activity after a long lay off, or
  • Active people who need to improve total body strength and flexibility.

To find out if it is right for you, go to Body Strengthen and Stretch Program
